Dear Brs/Srs,

The Rosary procession in Lourdes inspired us to take initiative to have same ROSARY PROCESSION with LIGHTED CANDLE in our Parish. Glory be to God. The Parish council accepted.  It took 4 months struggling for that and I totally surrendered myself to God for this.  Today I see the fruits of the struggle that led me to surrender myself to God.

Based on the team effort, the Rosary procession went very well on 31st October – the theme is ‘’Rosary for the Global and the goodness of ours. I have uploaded few images of the procession. Mother of God will help us to have this Rosary Procession monthly once and to have the participation of people from other religion in this procession and thus the journey continues to deepen the Marian devotion in us and in neighbor hood places. Thanks be to God.

ACTIVITY –I-   INVITING STUDENTS TO JOIN FRIENDS OF FR.MEDAILLE   (22.07.2016, Friday)
Never be lacking in Zeal, but keep your spiritual Fervor, serving the Lord.”

As a way of responding to the above verse, Lay Associates along with the guidance of sisters of St.Joseph of Lyons initiated the first activity of this year. IUG and IPG students were invited to join friends of Fr.Medaille. Great efforts were taken by Mr.Albert Jesudoss in gathering the students and associates.

Students came to the meeting with spiritual thirst. This meeting was organized to learn and celebrate the divine values of Fr.Medaille and through which students along with associates make their life a meaningful one by serving the community and above all ‘the God.’ Thus the meeting began with a prayer song.

Sr.Arul Mary, felicitated the students with warm words of welcome. She introduced heartfelt convictions of the associates and encouraged the students to serve God by being in this spiritual community. Her words of encouragement created a therapeutic effect in the hearts of the students and lighted up their souls.
The meeting sailed ahead with Dr.Kala Albert’s presentation. It was the time of reflection. She highlighted the special qualities of the founders and enlightened the young minds with the life story of Fr.Medaille. She made the session an interactive one and asked the students to share their spiritual experience. In all, it was a wonder-filled celebration of faithfulness and commitment.
Students joined the group by registering their names. The office bearers introduced themselves and briefed the students about the action plan that is prepared, the activities to be followed and their experiences throughout the journey. Student volunteer Nirmala from English Major expressed the strength and stability of the group. She attracted students to join hands in the Holy task. Mr.Alex, Ms.Bernita and Ms.Monica helped in making the meeting a successful one. They shared the responsibilities and took care that the things were done perfectly. They worked hard to be a supportive bridge between the associates and the students.
The president, Mr.Albert Jesudoss appreciated the newcomers for coming forward to join the group. He motivated by saying that our compassion should be extended by meeting the needs of others and promised to guide the students in all their activities.
Students were groomed to be the agents of love and extend that to the society with the guidance of the associates. The meeting concluded with a positive note:
Serving God is a blessing and let the spirit guide us.

Prison ministry 2015-16 Calicut sub jail

For I was hungry and you gave me food. I Was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was stranger and you welcomed me, I Was naked and you clothed me, I Was sick and you Visited me, I was in prison and you come to me (Mt: 25:35-36)

Our journey with the prisoners started the month of June with the members Sr. Sujitha MSMI Sr. livina – Bethani and Sr. Aleyamma SJL to the Sub jail of Calicut. Every week Tuesday at 1.30 to 2.30 P.M We conduct prayer, games and listen them and help them in different ways. We contact prayer, games-and listen them and help them in different ways.  We contact the family members by phone calls. In certain cases we visit their families. One of the prisoners released from the prison by bail by his sister with our timely information. He is placed in an old age home.
We were regular in our visit to the prison and we together arranged some programmers in the prison in different occasions. The superintendent was interested in arranging these programmes for the relaxation, growth and development of the prison and its inmates.

Job oriented  programme arranged by Jesus fraternity inviting ORC craft group to teach them how to make umbrella. It was inaugurated on 8th April in the presence of DIG Sivadhasan, Superintendent and assistant Superintendent Mrs. Dinakumari and the team taught 10 prisoners.

With our experience I feel that God is alive in all our activates in the prison. Our presence in the prison help the prisoners to experience the presence of God in their life which ever religion they belong. Our presence helps them to have social relationship with one another and to look at their life with positive attitude.

Thank our provincial and the councilors and my community to enter into prison Ministry and render my service to the needy of the society.
